Mental Health First Aid

Adult Mental Health First Aid
Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. Participants will learn:

  • common signs/symptoms,
  • how to interact with a person in crisis,
  • how to connect a person with help.
  • to address trauma and the importance of self-care.

This training is offered fully in-person (7.5 hours) or blended (2 hours online and 5.5 hours in-person).

Youth Mental Health First Aid

This training teaches individuals how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.  Attendees will learn:

  • to recognize common signs and symptoms including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)
  • how to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis
  • how to connect a youth in crisis with help
  • how to address trauma, self-care, social media, and bullying

The training is offered fully in-person (6.5 hours) or blended (2 hours online and 5.5 hours in-person).
