I worked as a staff psychiatrist at Dorothea Dix Hospital for 31 years. During that time, I was board certified in Forensic Psychiatry for 20 years and did court ordered Forensic Evaluations. I testified in cases in all 100 counties in NC. Also, I have worked throughout my career treating individuals with substance use problems. Married—one son

During my time with GT, I gained experience in many different service lines including Corporate Tax, Trusts and specialized in Indirect Tax. I have always had a passion to serve the community through working with nonprofits. I am delighted to serve as Chief Financial Officer for Freedom House Recovery Center, Inc.

Robin has spent time providing service and leadership most recently 2 years as the City of Durham’s Cemetery Administrator managing operations and implementing new data software. She has also spent 8 years at Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas providing grounded leadership and advisement as the Executive Director for homeless programs and services. Robin has experience working with diverse populations such as families in recovery, homeless individuals and Veterans during her career. In her current role she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Facilities and IT Management , ensuring policies and procedures are implemented, manage budgets and outcomes and an ongoing running list of tasks associated with providing outstanding services.

My name is Shaneka Parker and I am from Raleigh, NC. I graduated from East Carolina University with a BS/BA degree in Finance, and Masters of Science in Accounting. I became an NC Licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2017. I began my career in public accounting with Grant Thornton, PLLC as a Senior Tax Associate. During my time with GT, I gained experience in many different service lines including Corporate Tax, Trusts and specialized in Indirect Tax. I have always had a passion to serve the community through working with nonprofits. I am delighted to serve as Chief Financial Officer for Freedom House Recovery Center, Inc.

Timeka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. She received her graduate and post graduate degrees from North Carolina Central University. She has worked in the Mental Health/Substance Use disorder field for over 13 years and is a passionate advocate for individuals seeking recovery. She believes “Recovery is possible for anyone and everyone who wants it.

Robin Henry

Director of Operations

Robin Henry is the Director of Operations where she is managing the day to day operations with strong supportive leadership in the area of Facilities and IT services. Robin has spent time providing service and leadership most recently 2 years as the City of Durham’s Cemetery Administrator managing operations and implementing new data software. She has also spent 8 years at Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas providing grounded leadership and advisement as the Executive Director for homeless programs and services. Robin has experience working with diverse populations such as families in recovery, homeless individuals and Veterans during her career. In her current role she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Facilities and IT Management , ensuring policies and procedures are implemented, manage budgets and outcomes and an ongoing running list of tasks associated with providing outstanding services.
