What should i expect?

How It Works

Facility-Based Crisis often serves as the first step to long-term recovery. During a stay in the Crisis unit, individuals stabilize by alleviating acute symptoms, detoxing from alcohol or drugs, or adjusting their medication regimen. Our staff will also support clients in the development of an individualized plan for ongoing recovery.

Step 1

Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our staff and provided with a demographics form to complete, with assistance available if needed. Once completed, the information will be returned to the front desk staff.

Step 2

Initial Triage

A staff member will complete a brief triage assessment by asking a few questions about your current concerns, mental health and substance use history, and the reason you are seeking care.

Step 3

Nursing Assessment

You will receive a comprehensive assessment, including obtaining your vital signs and reviewing your medical, mental health, and substance use history, and any medical concerns you may have.

Step 4

Intake Completion

Our staff will complete the remainder of the intake process including a personalized, recovery-focused treatment and discharge plan.

Step 5

Orientation to the Unit

You will be provided with scrubs, toiletries, and clean linens as we show you where to change. Your belongings will be secured in our property room. Please avoid bringing valuables. You will also be shown your assigned room and oriented to the facility.
